Fridheimar Greenhouse

Unique Dining Experience: Eat in a Greenhouse on an Icelandic Tomato Farm!

If you’re planning on doing a self-drive Golden Circle tour in Iceland, Fridheimar Farm is the perfect place to stop for a truly unique dining experience. The restaurant is only open from noon to four, so plan accordingly, but is located just over an hour from downtown Reykjavik. Besides, if the Kardashians made it a point to visit the restaurant while in Iceland, you know it’s good. The main dining room is located inside the greenhouse where tomatoes are grown year-round. Each table has a pot of fresh basil with mini scissors to add to your food, and a plate […]

Packing for a week in Iceland

One Week in Iceland Packing List | Spring

I like to think of myself as a pro when it comes to packing. I’ve been to Costa Rica in the middle of summer, through Australia with the seasons flip-flopped, and somehow returned from a year in Europe with almost nothing having to be left behind. And yet, packing for Iceland was a little bit of a challenge. Colosseum

Sprinting Across the Olympic Stadium in Greece

It was originally built in 330 BC, and then refurnished with marble in 144 AD, with a capacity of 50,000 seats. It was build to host the Panathenaic Games, in honor of the goddess Athena, which was a religious and athletic celebration hosted every four years. Sounds like the birthplace of the modern Olympic games, no? This stadium also hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1896 Summer Olympics, which was the  first modern international Olympic games as we now know them today. […]

Beer Spa

I took a Spa Day in Prague and Soaked in Czech Beer

What? That’s a real thing? was my first response when hearing about how there are actual spas in the Czech Republic where you sit in tubs of beer. I had to check this out for myself. And I can happily say that yes, this is a real thing, and it is even cooler than it sounds. The spa I went to is called  Pivní Lázně Spa Beer Land and is conveniently located in Central Prague, just a short walk from Charles Square. Upon entering, I noticed they had an entire display wall of locally-made beauty products created entirely upon the health benefits […]
